Introduction
After a pink Defender passed me on our estate (housing not country) I got a sudden urge to get one. I'm sure it wasn't the colour that interested me as I found myself bookmarking black and silver ones in my initial searches on Autotrader and eBay.

I've got one now, had it for about 4 weeks so I will give you a bit of the history of the hunt, purchase, mods and experiences up to present day in the next few posts.
